Presented in the stunning combination of Gemini Blue, with Madras plaid interior. Confirmed as numbers matching engine and gearbox. The car was in very original condition when the project began, with no important original parts missing.
Currently undergoing restoration, an opportunity to take the project over to completion.
The vehicle was stripped by Tech 9 and carefully documented and the various parts stored.
The chassis has been prepared to bare metal, and is currently undergoing the restoration on a Celette Porsche body jig. All new panels are present and the chassis restoration is in the late stages of completion. Once the metalwork is finished, it will be treated to its final preparation of Gemini Blue Metallic paint to the highest standards.
The Original Fuchs 7J and 8J x 15 alloy wheels have been refurbished with the correct ‘petalled’ spokes and anodised rims.
The interior has been restored paying close attention to preservation. The original Blue Leatherette that was unique for the 1974 models has been renovated and preserved, the Madras Plaid cloth for the seats has been replaced by NOS material. Original dash instruments have also been restored.
The engine has been stripped and completely rebuilt to exacting standards. The originality of all the components are confirmed by date matching, and fully restored to concours condition. New Mahle pistons and cylinders were installed and all original parts reconditioned.
The gearbox has been treated to the same level of detail, and is prepared ready to install. Rare to find, its numbers matching with all the identification details preserved.
Every detail of this car will be restored to concours standards.
We would like to sell this project to a client that would like to fund the current restoration to completion.
