1977, the year of the Queens Silver Jubilee, Red Rum won the Grand National for the third time, and Manchester Utd beat Liverpool in the FA Cup Final

1977, the last year of the 3.0 version of the iconic 930 Turbo, this car was first registered 7th January 1977, via AFN Porsche, Isleworth, London

One of just 36 UK supplied RHD 3.0 Turbos built for the 1975-1977 Model Year

This example has just completed an extensive 2 year restoration by Porsche specialists Tech 9, full nut and bolt rebuild to exacting standards

Pre-restoration, the car was very original condition, albeit showing signs of its age with isolated rust spots and paintwork faults

Stripped to a bare bodyshell and taken back to bare metal, the bodyshell was jig restored to the highest standards by Porsche approved bodyshop, Road and Race Bolton (Porsche GB restoration partner)

Finished in the stunning combination of Platinum Metallic with Dark Brown Leather featuring Mac Laughlan tartan trim

Every effort was taken to restore to original condition using as many of the original parts as possible. The car retains its original carpets (the material NLA) that feature the ‘teddy bear’ long pile. The window trims were retained and feature the incredible patina of the sun faded black anodising, impossible to recreate this finish.

The original numbers match engine, was fully dressed with rebuilt and restored to correct finishes featuring vapour blasting and chromating of magnesium parts. The exhaust has been ceramic coated to give both a cosmetic and durable appearance, mated to a rebuilt original KKK26 Turbocharger

The gearbox retains its original LSD, and the four speed transmission is a joy to operate. You can feel how over-engineered Porsche built this car in the day

The chassis and drivetrain feature all original parts, including the date match rear arms, and the correctly restored aluminium front brake calipers, and rebuilt Bilstein suspension

The original 16” Fuchs alloys, feature the correct anodised finish and wrapped in a set of Michelin MXX3 tyres, to complete the period correct look

The interior is very special, the combination of the Dark Brown leather matched with the Mac Laughlan tartan trim, is an iconic feature of these 1970’s 930 Turbo models.

Blaupunkt Bamberg stereo is present and rare to find in this condition, all original switchgear and instruments complete the dash area

We believe that even the windscreen is original, the internal heating elements and the manufacturers markings suggest so

Driving the car is a revelation, such a powerful car for its time and relatively light weight compared to its more modern 3.3 brothers

The documentation features the original service book and drivers manual, in the maroon slipcase

We believe this to be THE BEST RHD example in the world, the provenance of the car that features all of its original parts (never modified or upgraded)
